Sabi
Sand is a 55 000 hectare private game reserve bordering on
the South Western side of the Kruger National Park. All
fences between the Kruger Park and the Sabi Sand reserve have
been removed to allow the animals to roam freely.
This luxury safari
reserve lends itself to closer contact with all animals
sighted but in particular the "Big 5". Here
vehicles will leave the regular roads in order to track the
"Big Cats" as they forge their way deeper into the
bush on the hunt.
Typical
itinerary on a Sabi Sand safari
Day 1.
You are collected from O.R.Tambo / Johannesburg Intl.
Airport. or hotel within a radius of 5 kms. We travel to
the Sabi Sand Reserve along a scenic route with a pit stop
midway through the journey to stretch legs and enjoy a cup of
coffee.
Check in at the private lodge
in time for lunch. Time to settle in and relax or have a
quiet drink before afternoon tea is served. Depart on
the late afternoon / night game drive eventually stopping at
sunset for drinks in the bush. Continue the game drive
into the evening using a powerful spotlights to identify many
of the nocturnal animals and birds. Return to the lodge
to an excellent dinner enjoyed under the African stars around
a huge log fire in an open boma.
Day
2. Early
morning wake up call for tea/coffee and biscuits before the
early morning game drive departs. Stop for a hot drink
and snacks in the bush. Continue with the game drive
before returning to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.
Optional walking safari escorted
by an armed ranger. Spend some time swimming or relaxing
with a book at the pool side before lunch. Afternoon tea
& cake before departing on the late afternoon / night game
drive with sundowners in the bush. Return to the lodge for
dinner.
Day 3. Early morning wake
up call for tea/coffee and biscuits before the early morning
game drive departs. Stop for a hot drink and snacks in
the bush. Continue with the game drive before returning
to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.
Load luggage into the Minibus
for the return trip to Johannesburg taking a brief route
through the scenic Drakensberg Mountains. On the way we
stop for lunch before arriving at your destination at between
17:00 - 18:00.
N.B. Extra days on the
longer safaris will be the same as day 2 on the 3-day safari.

Accommodation & Meals:
On this luxury safari you stay in an air-conditioned bungalow
with en-suite bathroom, close to the swimming pool and other
lodge facilities. Your room is serviced daily with soap, bed
linen, towels etc. for your convenience.
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon
tea with cake and dinner is included. The delicious meals and
excellent personal service at this fabulous lodge will most
likely exceed your expectations. A Bar and small shop is
available on the lodge premises.
Warning: There are no fences between you and the wild
animals so please do not leave your bungalow at night.
